I have now been with Diamond car insurance for over 6 years. I first changed over to them when one of my cars had been completely written off (parked at the side of the road I may add!) and the company Hastings Direct who I was with at the time, could not help with a courtesy car & basically made the whole episode a nightmare. Although for some Diamond offer very competitive car insurance, for me that simply was not the case. I had seen many adverts on the television for Diamond “cheap car insurance just for women” and so they were my first choice for car insurance. My insurance policy with Diamond ends tomorrow, and I will not be renewing with them, I am currently scouring the internet for the best price. Last year, as a new policy holder they came out with the best price for my Impreza, insured in my name but with my husband as named driver, during the course of the year the hidden charges made the policy very expensive, and the poor general admin made the thought of a claim with them worrying. So I called them to let the know, I could not belive what they told be next. My premium for next year would be reduced by around £50, but I would be charged £13 for the rest of this year.
